11/12/09: Federal Hill Fall League Week 7 Results

It was the final regular season league night in the Federal Hill Fall League and we saw our strongest performance thus far. Epsilon 7 went 15-0 on the eve of the Federal Hill Fall League Championships. Behind them was the league's top team, Team Woodshed, who raised their season record to 79-11. The other two double digit teams were Felt and Nubbins and Santiago & Dunbar both at 11-4. The bracket has been set for next week's League Championship Tournament.

11/15/09: Nicholas Stansbury Charity Tournament Results

This Saturday the Maryland Beer Pong Community came together for a great cause. Nicholas Stansbury was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) and has been undergoing chemotherapy, experimental drug therapy, and a recent bone marrow transplant. The Charity Tournament on Saturday raised funds to go directly to the Stansbury family to help offset the months of medical bills and pricey treatments. Thanks to the efforts of all those in attendance, we were able to raise $2,000 to help Nicholas. Thank you to Nobles for hosting the event and donating the tournament beer and thanks to everyone who donated.

The tournament itself was a good one. A surprise to few, Wet Ballz took the championship and in doing so solidified their position as the #1 team in Maryland. They met the impressive Pennsylvanians, God Damn Brewery, in the finals (video). In 3rd place was Screw Em!!! who made it all the way to the winner's bracket finals, undoubtedly on Heather's shooting. Harford County's Finest made their team debut and snagged a spot in the Maryland State Championships with their 4th place finish. In the 5th and 6th match, Team Miller Time returned to the tables and won over The Pong Show. Check out the complete results on the tournament page. 11/10/2009: Washington, DC Fall League - Week 7 Recap

After what seemed to be an exciting night of beer pong in week 7 of the Washington, DC Fall League, the seeds have finally been planted. Although going 8-3 on the night, Who's In Your Mouth? secured their 1st place seed going into the Washington, DC Fall League Championships. With the best record for the night, going 12-3, was Carlton Banks finishing up in 2nd place. The tables were turned as the Chugsters went 11-4 to move themselves up a spot to 3rd place overall. Behind them in the standings are Random White Guy who after going 6-9 on the night fell back into 4th place overall. To round out the double digit finishers on the night were Too Vicious at 11-3 and Off in the Woods at 10-5. The complete results from week 7 can be found on the league page. 11/4/09: Federal Hill Fall League - Week 6 Results

With one week still to go, Team Woodshed (14-1) has clinched a first place finish in the Federal Hill Fall League and will be the #1 seed entering the League Championship Tournament. Also clinching their spot in the #2 slot is Urinal Cakes who finished 13-2. The Booze Hounds had their best performance of the season with a 12-3 showing. Fresh off a Las Vegas fling, Epsilon 7 enjoyed a 11-4 night which included a big win over Urinal Cakes. Check out the complete results on the league page. Next week is league t-shirt night!

11/3/09: Washington, DC Fall League - Week 6 Recap

The end is near for the Washington, DC Fall League as week 6 wraps up. The intensity was at an all time high tonight with very polar outcomes. Teams were either at the way top or all the way at the bottom this week with 8 double digit winners and 3 winless teams. At the top were Chugsters, We're Comin' To Getcha, and Who's On? all at 13-2. Behind them were Carlton Banks, Clownbaby, Epsilon East, and Random White Guy all at 12-3 on the night. And to round out the double digit winners was Too Vicious at 10-5 on the night. Although they had a weak performance going 6-3 and calling it quits, Who's In Your Mouth? still sits comfortably in 1st place with a 9 win lead over Carlton Banks in the standings. 10/28/09: Federal Hill Fall League - Week 5 Results

When Bryan of What, What? In the Cup needed a partner for Week 5 of the Federal Hill Fall League, he dug deep into the waiver wire and pulled out Steph. It proved to be a good acquisition as the "professional beer pong player" hit 6 rebuttals in a win over Team Woodshed and led What, What? In the Cup to the night's best record at 13-2. The aforementioned Team Woodshed closed out the night with the week's second best record at 11-4, keeping them in first overall. Urinal Cakes retained second place with a 10-5 record but dropped back a game on the league leaders. There weren't any other double digit winners, but in a surprise move, Joey picked up Foster to bolster the Random White Guy roster. We'll see if that move pays off down the home stretch. 10/27/09: Washington, DC Fall League - Week 5 Recap

Week 5 marked the beginning of the final stretch for the Washington, DC Fall League. With only three weeks left to prove themselves before the league championships, teams fought their way through the tough competition. Some may argue that in beer pong, perfection is hard to come by, but Who's In Your Mouth? just makes it look so easy. After conquering another 15-0 week, the duo is now 30-0 over the last two weeks, sitting comfortably in 1st place. Behind them in the standings is Carlton Banks going 10-5 on the week. Back in 4th place is the Chugsters who had the second best record of the night going 11-4. Other double digit winners on the week also going 10-5 were Who's On?, Wee Bey Nuggets, and We're Comin' To Getcha. Check out the league page for all the results from week 5.

10/25/09: College Park Las Vegas Qualifier Results

When Wet Ballz entered the finals of the Las Vegas Qualifier, the odds makers were giving them 3:1 odds of victory. Unfortunately for them, Pow Pow Power Wheels would beat the odds and for only the 4th time this year, Wet Ballz was denied the championship (video: game 1 & game 2). Pow Pow Power Wheels has won their way to the 2010 Las Vegas Championships where they will compete to get a piece of the $50,000 prize pool. Wet Ballz does get a consolation though, they have regained the state's #1 ranking. It was the responsibly drinking Dew Tour who took the 3rd place honors followed by Carroll County powerhouses McAllister. 10/22/09: Federal Hill Fall League - Week 4 Results

Week 4 in the Federal Hill Fall League had it's fair share of ups and downs. There were eight teams with wins in the double digits but also three teams that didn't manage to secure a W on the night. Epsilon 7 makes their first appearance on the front page this week with their 13-2 performance. They join Wet Ballz and Team Woodshed at the top of this week's standings. Right behind them at 12-3 was Closing Power and Urinal Cakes featuring substitute player, Roper, who carried the team much of the night. Other double digit winners were Felt and Nubbins (11-4), the Booze Hounds (10-5), and Sex Panther (10-5). Check out the complete results on the league page.

10/20/09: Washington, DC Fall League - Week 4 Recap

Week 4 of the Washington, DC Fall League was full of intensity, trash talk, and awesome beer pong action! DC hasn't seen this much action since Clinton was in the White House. Clinton may have had flaws, but one team this week did not. That's right, we had another 15-0 week, this time with Who's In Your Mouth? going short of any error. Despite the distractions of the Dew Tour, the duo was able to beat all competition and reach this high level of perfection, moving them into 1st place in the league. At 11-4 on the week were Epsilon East and Random White Guy. And to round off the double digit winners on the week was Carlton Banks going 10-5, moving them down a spot into 2nd place in the league. 10/15/09: Federal Hill Fall League - Week 3 Results

Week 3 of the Federal Hill Fall League saw many teams vying for the top spot but no one emerged as four teams all tied for the week's best record. Pong-a-bility tied their career best finishing at the 12-3 mark and moving them up 10 spots to 8th in the league. 4 Sale! continued their winning ways with their own 12-3 showing. Urinal Cakes maintained their 3rd place ranking after a bitter show down with the current league leaders, Woodshed, who also finished at 12-3. Only one game off the pace were What, What? In the Cup and By the Beard of Zeus, both at 11-4. Last but not least, Closing Power found double digit wins as well at 10-5. Next week marks the half way point and the league's top spot is still very attainable. Can anyone stop the Woodshed?

10/13/09: Washington, DC Fall League - Week 3 Recap

Week 3 of the Washington, DC Fall League was a great week for beer pong in the Nation's capitol. It is still a close race for 1st place early in the league. With (13-2) records on the week were Who's In Your Mouth? and Carlton Banks. Right behind them at (12-3) were Random White Guy and Chugsters. The last double digit winners were Too Vicious at (11-2). 10/9/09: Federal Hill 1-on-1 Tournament Results

Imagine the surprise of the sold out crowd last night at Nobles as Kessler and Deep, representatives from the New Jersey Beast of the East squad, showed up to take on the competition at the Federal Hill 1-on-1 State Qualifier. Despite the home team's best efforts, the Philadelphia native Kessler (We're in Ya Head) came out victorious after emerging from the loser's bracket and defeating Jordan McAllister in the finals. Jordan (McAllister) advanced to the championship final after a nearly flawless victory over Austin Lanham (Woodshed) in the winner's bracket final. Deep (NJ) placed 4th in his first Maryland tournament despite going undefeated against local competition. The 5th & 6th place match went to #1 ranked Foster who missed the finals for the first time this year. He defeated Chris Mustico who had to settle for 6th. In the final consolation match, the Mantis defeated Bunky to take 7th place. Thanks to everyone who came out and made the Federal Hill 1-on-1 State Qualifier a huge success.

10/7/09: Federal Hill Fall League - Week 2 Results

For a second straight league night, Shot Tyme (4-11) played the roll of spoiler as they dashed the hopes of Woodshed's perfect night by handing the new league leaders their only loss of the evening. Woodshed now owns a 2-game advantage over last week's league leaders, Wet Ballz (12-3), who tied for the second best record of the night. They tied with Urinal Cakes (12-3) featuring Jeff (Carlton Banks), who won 25 consecutive league games before losing to Naked Push Ups (3-12). The other double digit winners were 4 Sale!, Epsilon 7, and the newly acquired McAllister, all at 11-4. Check out the complete results on the league page.

10/6/09: Washington, DC Fall League - Week 2 Recap

Week 2 of the Washington, DC Fall League was an intense week as the size of the league nearly doubled and the competition heated up. With the young league underway and plenty of new faces taking the stage, no one expected a perfect week so soon, if at all. But somehow, whether it be their mastered wet balling tactics or intimidating good looks, Carlton Banks managed to pull off a (15-0) record on the night. Falling one game short of a perfect record was current 1st place team in both the league and the state, Who's In Your Mouth?, who had to accept their (14-1) record on the night after falling to the rookie team Epsilon East (11-4). With (13-2) records on the night were Random White Guy and Who's On?. And the last double digit winner on the week were the Chugsters going (10-5). There is a long road ahead and it could be anyone's league for the taking. It is still not too late to sign up for the league if you or anyone you know may be interested in joining. 10/1/09: Federal Hill Fall League - Week 1 Results

Athletes Run. That's Under Armor's new slogan, one that the perennial Baltimore league champs, Wet Ballz, seem to have adopted for their Federal Hill Fall League campaign. Wet Ballz ducked and dodged their way to a league best 14-1 record to open the league with their lone loss coming from Shot Tyme (7-8). In the much anticipated league debut of Team Woodshed (13-2), the pair suffered only 2 losses to 3rd place Urinal Cakes (12-3) and lead the league with a commanding 0.613 RPI. Rounding out the top 6 is 4 Sale! (11-4), Epsilon 7 (10-5), and Random White Guy (10-3). Thanks to everyone who came out to the first league night. 9/29/09: Washington, DC Fall League - Week 1 Recap

The Washington, DC Fall League started off this week with a bang as DC's best beer pong teams started their battle to see who will be crowned the victor and represent DC in the World Series of Beer Pong. At the top of the leaderboard is Who's In Your Mouth? who went 12-3 on the week. The other two double digit teams for week 1 were Epsilon East and Random White Guy both at 10-5. 9/26/09: Federal Hill WSOBP Satellite Results

It was a packed house last night at Taps in Federal Hill. After a two month hiatus, Wet Ballz proved once again that they are the team to beat in Maryland after surviving a gauntlet of top 10 competition en route to their first WSOBP Satellite win of the year. They defeated the perennial 2nd place finishers, We're Comin' To Getcha who took the champs to three overtimes in the finals (video: part 1 & part 2). In third place were the winner's bracket finalists, Just Give Up Now, who were on the losing side in their rematch with the eventual runners-up. Grind Time continues to impress with a 4th place showing last night after a 3rd place showing at the last tournament. The top 8 were rounded out by the Mouth Plow Allstars, Drunkenballers, God Damn Brewery, and McAllister. Check out the complete results here on the tournament page. 9/13/09: Fallston State Qualifier Results

This Saturday was Maryland Beer Pong's first ever Harford County tournament, the Fallston State Qualifier. Local celebrity Bunky took first place honors as Just Give Up Now went undefeated en route to their second pair of gold trophies on the year (video). They defeated We're Comin' To Getcha who is still having trouble shaking their second place curse. In 3rd place was Grind Time playing in their MDBP debut. Also debuting this week was Joey's Above & Beyond who took fourth place honors. The 5th and 6th match was an all Pennsylvania contest with We're in Ya Head defeating God Damn Brewery for the second time in the tournament. Check out the complete results on the tournament page. Annapolis Summer 2009 WSOBP Satellite Tournament Recap

8/29/09: It was another exciting weekend for Maryland Beer Pong as some of the top teams in the state competed in the Annapolis WSOBP Satellite for their chances at a free entry into The World Series of Beer Pong V. In the finals were two of Maryland's most decorated teams: McAllister and We're Comin' To Getcha. The finals turned into a two game show down as McAllister lost to We're Comin' To Getcha by 3 cups (video). But in the end it was McAllister who came out on top winning another their 3rd bid this year into the WSOBP after beating We're Comin' To Getcha by 4 cups in their final game (video). In 3rd place was Philly team Pong Rules Everything Around Me who fought hard but fell just short to We're Comin' To Getcha in the loser's bracket finals. In 4th place was Virginia Beach's very own The Best Alive who did not quite live up to their team name despite numerous scare tactics used throughout the tournament. The 5th-6th match was won by rookie team Lock It Up who took down Maryland veterans Results May Vary by 4 cups. In 7th place was Just Silk Up Now followed by 8th place The Murphy Group. Summer 2009 Washington, DC 1-on-1 State Qualifier Recap

08/23/2009: The Summer Washington, DC 1-on-1 Tournament was one of the most heated battles this summer for beer pong. Winning his second 1-on-1 tournament of the year, Sean Foster swept through the winner's bracket and came out 1 cup ahead of second place Steph Bertrand (video) who started out in the loser's bracket after a first round forfeit. In third place was the Mantis who had an impressive run in the winners bracket before being squashed by both Foster and Steph. In 4th place was DC's very own Jeff Gillen. The 5th-6th place match deciding the last qualifying spot for States was won by Tom Zink over Justin Schreier, rounding out the top finishers. Washington, DC Summer 2009 League Championships Recap

8/12/09: The Washington, DC Summer League came to an exciting close in the nation's capital. Hearts were broken, underdogs were triumphant, and legends were made. Taking home the gold in the first ever DC league was DMX who won the final match by 8 cups over 2nd place rookies Hitchhikin' Home (video) who rumors have it, run the DC beer pong scene at another bar in DC. In third place was rookie team John Wilkes Booze which also featured one of the highest tournament placings for a woman in MDBP tournament history. In 4th place was veteran team No Business who came into the tournament as the number 2 seed. And in 5th place was Baby Banks who came into the tournament as the number 1 seed and hoped to be the first girl/guy team to ever win a MDBP tournament until their dreams were shattered early on by John Wilkes Booze. Germantown Summer 2009 League Championships Recap

8/10/09: The Germantown Summer League came to an exciting finish as 301's finest battled for their home title. Leaving with the gold was Carlton Banks who won in a close 2 game battle over the current #1 team in the state Who's In Your Mouth?. In the first game Who's In Your Mouth? won by 3 (video) but finally fell to the champions in the second game by 1 cup in 2 overtimes (video part 1 part 2). In third place was the brothers Durieu: There and Back Again followed by the brothers Kramek: Kramerica who came in fourth. The 5th-6th matchup was won by Random White Guy over Fatal Distractions. Washington, DC Summer League 2009 Week 7 Recap

8/6/09: The finish to the regular season of summer beer pong had it's ups and downs for all this week. An unexpected switch in the roster for Who's In Your Mouth? prompted them to end the night early and secure their First Place finish in the Washington League. Random Black Guy led the week with a 12-3 record, bringing them to the #5 spot for the season. Baby Banks followed closely with a respectable 11-4 week, keeping their consistent hold on 2nd place. Finishing in 3rd for the league were beer pong veterans No Business, followed by MD Beer Pong newcomers Hitchhikin' Home finishing 4th. The tournament is looking to be intense, so everyone practice and rest for the big day.

7/29/09: The stakes keep getting larger as the DC League continued with heated play. The frontrunner was a rallying No Business who gained some key wins to finish at 14-1. This brings them only 2 wins behind 2nd place. Who's In Your Mouth? continued it's steady domination finishing 13-2, all but securing the prominent "301-ers" another League Title. Random Black Guy also continued their late run for the tournament title taking their first losses of the season, finishing the week at 12-3, keeping them in strong contention for the top 5. Week 7 is sure to be a nailbiter full of big games in which all the marbles are on the line. But, who will take home the first ever Washington, DC League Championship?
